If you have been to Owerri, the capital city of Imo state lately, you'll agree with me that a lot of changes are taking place, some good and some bad. In my own personal opinion, I think Imo state will go bankrupt by the time Rochas leaves office because I have seen a lot of irrelevant things taking place in the state. The very first one is the recent obsession of this government with "gating" the whole state; this idea would have made sense if it was/had been done in select residential areas only, but the sense in "gating" even major roads in the city is what I am yet to come to terms with.
This idea has a lot of disadvantages, and the major one being MORE traffic congestion to the already congested capital city and pure waste of public funds that would have been used to do better and more profitable things for the state. I have also noticed some weird looking people controlling traffic on red bow ties in town(come on, where does this happen?) and I think this is another highly unnecessary expense by the government, we have the FRSC, The Police, The Imo Orientation Agency and not forgetting the traffic light all controlling traffic, do we still need to waste money on these bow tie guys???
Oga Rochas you're trying but I think its time to pass the mic :)
Lmao pass the mic sir
ReplyDeletednt mind dat man. i hate him. he does not know anything other than gate and party. mtchew. wen dey said vote for beta pesin lyk ararume, imo people did not agree; they said they wanted free education and job. now dey will get jobs as gate people. nonsense

ReplyDeletei agree with you.
Deletefirst i have to correct an impression, those gates are not ugly and are not situated in major roads. secondly...those gates have provision for gate keepers, and if permitted, i would term that "creation of jobs for the unemployed".
ReplyDeleteErgo, Oga sir..hold that mic tightly.
I rest my humble case.
